DEFENSIVE SHOTGUN and/or HANDGUN TRAINING CLINIC!
Our Defensive Shotgun and Handgun Courses are designed for Intermediate, and Advanced shooters. Reinforce basic Gun Safety, Improve Your Gun Handling and Defensive Handgun skills. Four hours of range instruction will cover the safe use of a defensive Shotgun and/or Handgun; Firearm Safety, Gun Handling, and the basic fundamentals of Defensive Shooting. This is not a marksmanship class, you are expected to have basic gun handling, safety, and marskmanship skills prior to attending this class. BASIC marksmanship training is available one-on-one, or in private group classes. [see below for more info] We will cover the draw, speed reloads, tactical reloads, malfunction clearing, use of cover, move-shoot-move drills, getting off the "X", shooting while moving, engaging multiple reactive targets, and active transitions from Shotgun to Handgun.
What you'll need for the DEFENSIVE SHOTGUN/HANDGUN course:
• One quality Pump or Semi-Auto Defensive Shotgun and/or
• One quality defensive semi-auto handgun in good working condition
• 3 magazines, sturdy gun belt, holster and double magazine pouch
• Clean and lubricate your gun before you come to class
• 150 rounds of factory new or quality reloaded handgun ammunition
• 100 Bird Shot, 25 Buck, 25 Slugs (For those training with a Shotgun)
• ANSI/OSHA approved Safety Glasses
• Hearing protection, hat or cap with a bill
• Dress comfortable for outdoor activities, athletic shoes or boots
• NO Sandals, flip flops, or open toe shoes
• Bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen
• Rental Guns and ammunition may be available with advanced notice.
**$100.00** (Includes Range fee)
Prerequisite for this course: You must have completed a State issued Conceal Carry permit course, Personal Protection in the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, Law Enforcement/U.S. Military certification in Pistol, IDPA/USPSA Sharpshooter or higher classification or other acceptable training subject to approval of the Instructor.

ADVANCED LOW-LIGHT TACTICS TRAINING - (scheduled Privately for your group of four (4) or more Intermediate to Advanced Students)
A large percentage of armed exchanges occur at night, or in reduced light conditions. This course is designed for the experienced shooter that would like to improve their gun handling and Defensive Handgun skills in a Low-Light Training environment. Three hours of range instruction will cover the safe use of a defensive handgun and Tactical Flashlight during reduced light and evening training scenarios.
Topics covered include:flashlight techniques, weapons-mounted lights, use of night sights, target identification and acquisition, low-light specific tactics. Required equipment: ear protection and clear eye protection, appropriate Defensive Handgun, quality strong side holster, minimum of two magazines or speedloaders, sturdy gun belt, Surefire or comparable white-light flashlight, 150 rounds of factory or quality reloaded ammunition, belt holster or, clip for your flashlight, extra batteries.
You will learn:
Fundamentals of tactical illumination
Target isolation and weapons identification
Low-light shooting and flashlight manipulation
Dominating with light
Ambidextrous and one-handed shooting
alternative shooting positions
Prerequisite for this course: You must have completed a State issued Conceal Carry permit course, Personal Protection in the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, Law Enforcement/U.S. Military certification in Pistol, IDPA Sharpshooter or higher classification or other acceptable training subject to approval of the Instructor.
