Does anyone have any insight on this DIY certification and manual? Would it actually hold any weight on a resume? Does it have quality information/lessons?

The EPS amnual is a great start to get to know what is expected of you in the industry. As with any self study program, you will get out of it what you put into it. The information is well presented and easy to follow. After a couple years in the industry, I can still refer back to my Manual and re-read chapters relevent to my detail. All the information is industry standard.(keep in mind if you are working for a company you will have set SOPs to follow) but the EPS manual is a great reference tool for the free lancer.

No problem. If you are looking for hands on training, check out BTI. I am a graduate of theirs, and it really helped me establish myself as a serious candidate when applying for jobs. BTI seems to always produce graduates that are able to excell in this indusrty. I know of at least three myself. The hands on instruction in combination with the EPS manual will place you far above the average applicant.
