Hey everyone I'm the new guy. My name is Michael Shockley. I just wanted to test the water. I'm attending bodyguard training in February and really excited about joining the bodyguard industry. I spent a few years in the U.S. Navy in the early 90's, where I was stationed in Washington D.C. I had a four month tour at the Pentegon gaurding the office of the Sec. Def. when Dick Cheney was there. Since then I have had various jobs but none where what I truely wanted as a career. I'm really excited to get started and be part of team.
Thanks for your time,
Michael Shockley

Hey, new guy! I think I speak for everybody here when I say that we're glad to have you on board, Michael. And I hope you like the water... :)
Just out of curiosity, since we're neighbors, what school did you pick for your training?

Welcome to the site Michael, it is good to hear you are going through training... too many guys feel that A) they dont need training, or B) Attending one training class in a lifetime is enough.... both are very false!
Training is fluid, and on-going... one should always train and sharpen their skills! Kudos to you!

Awesome, usabodyguard! I'm looking forward to hearing his feedback. Your curriculum seems very impressive.
And I agree with socalbodyguard. Training is perishable- it's an ongoing effort to stay sharp and on top of new techniques and tactics. And constant training is liability insurance.
