Attention members - please read

As of late there has been an influx of spammers... not only in the main sections but numerous Private Messages (PM's) have been sent out by these spammers...

If you get a message from anyone you dont know, do not click the links within the private message!

We are banning at least 3-5 of these fake accounts and spammers each week...

Also if you have any site issues, please post them up in here and our IT manager will try and resolve any site issues.
Please have patience with us while we work through these issues to bring everyone a better and safer site.

BTW- Most vbulletin message boards deal with these issues, we are not singled out.

We have made some changes to prevent the onslaught of spam as of late, private messages will only be allowed 1 per 10 minute time period... this will cut down on the number of new users that are mass spamming our members... again, DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS IN A PM UNLESS IT IS FROM A TRUSTED SOURCE, i.e. a known user on this site.

We are working diligently to detour the spammers, please bare with us!

Works for me. We have something like that on another forum that I belong to but its limited to 1 like ever minute or two..

I have not recieved any in the last 4 days but the ones that do come in are "ANTI-VIRUS LIVE UPDATE 09" . Very problematic and hare to get rid of. I am also a PC tech and Know how to remove it but for those of you out there who can't shoot me and e-mail and I'll see what I can do.

It is inevitable to have these types of attacks on occasion with any Vbulletin Forums site... It is not a direct attack on SCBA, rather a scripting hack on Vboards as a whole.
The site will be going through some updates over the next couple of days, moving to bigger servers for more bandwidth, and an update for the software version has a major update... the change will be seamless, you will not notice any delays, only a faster site.
