Tijuana Mexico - 10 February, 2010

The Mexican Military conducted various operations in the Tijuana region yesterday, making 10 arrests and confiscating numerous military grade small arms including:

- full automatic .50 caliber Browning Machine Gun.

- .50 caliber SASR

- More than 40 rifles, most AK variants

- 8 handguns,

- 3 grenades

- More than 8000 rounds

- 345 magazines

- 5 vehicles, one of them level 7 armor.

The group was responsible for a variety of criminal actions including, drug running, assassinations, kidnappings to name a few.

One kidnap victim was rescued during the apprehensions.

Despite the arrest of several high level Narcos in the past 2 months, violence and kidnapping have not slowed as others try and fill the gaps in the Narco-Criminal middle and upper management.

I got a crash course on the situation in South America from Max Joseph a while back. I vividly remember him stating that LA's gang violence was like child's play in comparison, and showing us vids & photos to prove it.
Hats off to the guys operating down there, like you Secfor.

LT,
Max hit the nail on the head. Generally speaking, the gang member types that end up down here (including MS 13) are viewed as punks and low level thugs. If you look at the individuals that are pictured with all the weaponry up top, they look like they could blend in fairly well, and they do.

The frequency of the heavy armament found in the TJ region is increasing. As soon as the bad guys go to the next step and start using the heavy stuff more frequently, things will get ugly.

Below are a couple more pics of busts this month; Both unique in their own way.

Young sisters used as transport. Somebody should have told them not to transport assault weapons in a stolen car.

AHHHHHHHHHH Did anyone miss me??? Nah.. Anyway.. Hope all are doing well.. Ive been trying to stay updated on whats happening.. The busts are a good thing though.. Although it may only turn the heat up a little more, since the BG's arent going to just roll over and play dead... More guns heavier equipment more firepower.. All things to keep in perspective when we are doing our work.. I mean for those of us who "play by the rules" its a tough game out there especially when the deck is stacked this heavy against us... It seems like maybe the time for rules have gone out the window and time for us to level the playing fields..
