Brazil Advice

Guys
A friend of mine is going on a ep/cp detail to Brazil.
There are no need to send me CVs the operators are already picked the same that works with the client on every day base.
But I need to find out if there is anyone that have experience from working in Brazil? I guess its less movement with the client and Rio, however any ideas about current risk situation, what to avoid etc..or other relevant information is much appreciated.

From friends that use to live there.....kidnappings our big time problem over there....also avoid the favelas (Ghettos)....everyone has a gun in them.
