1. Your real name
Macanthony O. AKA Big Mack

2. Your current status in the Security industry... i.e. Bodyguard, security guard, etc.
Level 3 Commissioned Officer (TX). I've been in Personal Protection, nightclub security, bank security, and armored truck services for 5 years now.

3. Your location - city, state, country.
Houston TX. Lived here for the past 3 years but I originally grew up in Inglewood CA and Newark NJ

4. Your experience.
Started out as a nightclub bouncer, until I've ran into a few celebrities in some of those clubs and life has started out for me as a bodyguard soon after. I have also worked for some security & private investigation companies like Blue Moon Investigations out of Webster TX. I think thats where the core of my training came from. They taught me advanced firearms training and tactical skills in close combat.

Some of the clients I've served in the past are Shaquille O'Neal, Bobby Valentino (singer), Lil Wayne (rapper), Drake (rapper), and Nicki Minaj

5. How you found out about this site!
Google...LOL

I'm really just on here to network with other bodyguards, get some advice and maybe even run into some better opportunities. I'm really thinking on moving back to Southern Caifornia as soon as I finish up my Bachelors in Criminal Justice over here. It seems that's where most of the personal protection work is at anyways.

looking forward to it man! yea I'm praying for another Hurricane IKE over here because thats when the big money contracts come in from the feds. Especially in the Kemah and Galveston areas. I remember pulling in nearly $3500/week around that time lol! But once I'm situated in the SoCal region soon enough I'm never looking back. The personal protection market is just not as big out here as I thought it would be. I'll definitely keep you updated on short-term opportunities here once the time comes though. Nice meeting you btw

Yeah one of the companies that I used to work for was telling me that.. $30+ / hr and working 12+ hours a day 7 days a week.. Yeah I can see that... Not wishing any bad harm to anyone or anyplace but man that would sure help my sore thumb right now...

I probably shouldn't have said anything... because we all know what he meant. And we all know that crime and catastrophes keep us employed. The wording was ill-chosen in my book, that's all. :)

You guys aren't like those firefighters who turn arsonists to make some OT $$$, after all. And no way to summon a hurricane, unless you believe in the power of prayer more than I do!

maybe i should have put "j/k" or sumthin after that phrase lol... By all means I don't really wish upon natural catastrophes. I've been without power for 3 weeks during that Hurricane and it sucked! I simply wanted to state how quick opportunities come here when there is one. lol my bad

Hey, no problem Big Mack: we all know what you meant, brother. :)

I tend to watch my online words carefully because I never forget that I'm liable to be read by complete newbies or outsiders. A lot of times, I'm also muzzled by fear of revealing too much on past clients or getting sued by industry people.

But I don't presume to tell other members how to express themselves! Out of context, your words sounded a bit shocking, is all.

Now please do take part in the various discussions here, we can use the interaction and we'll get to know you better that way. :)
