I have been off the list for a while, and never very active...so I just started lurking again and will check back in every now and then.

I am a State Licensed Private Investigator in Southern California. Primarily focused on Fraud and Theft Consulting and Investigation. My passion is Firearms and Defensive Tactics Training. I have been teaching the California CCW License Class here in San Diego County since the early 1990's.

I have done EP work in the past with ODO and several other PPO's. Not my primary business right now. I have taught CCW Permit and Tactical Firearms Training to Law Enforcement, Military, and Civilians.

As an certified instructor myself of many skills in numerous states & nationally. I can say through personal experience that Bill Desy is an outstanding instructor and I would highly recommend his services.
Cordially, Sonny

When Secfor conducts handgun training as a part of our EP curriculum, we have Bill come out. He is one of those rare trainers that himself is constantly training and pushing himself. Because much of his training revolves around concealed tactics, it is a good fit for EP professionals. Glad to see Bill on the boards. Give his clinics a chance, you wont be disappointed.

A trainer that does not continue to train himself, is not a trainer... I also as a trainer continiously train with weapons of various types and calibers, my ammo bill is extremely high... Good thing I dont have any other very expensive habits.. Oh wait.. There is flying, and scuba diving.. and.. Never mind...

Bottom line here is that if a trainer doesnt continue to train how can he train people to current standards??

Now that's good to know: all the formal training I've had was in attires (jeans or fatigues) and with gear (OWB duty-type rigs) that have little to do with what I used in the field for real. For that, I've had to practice and experiment on my own. So we should all take note when an instructor has CCW in mind.

I think that says a lot too when other professionals (some being competitors) all join to salute somebody.

I'm taking the 5th on the rest too myself, John... :D :devil2: :secretagent:

Looking forward to your contributions, CCW TRAINER!
