Gentlemen's bodyguard job is stressful if you had health problems after several years of work, what is the problem?

An LA cop told me once that he had more enemies on the inside that on the street. "The street, I can handle", he told me then.
I think I know what he means, now. My fellow agents, team leaders, and sometimes bosses, have caused me more grief than the job itself, I'm afraid. I try to work alone, and at night, as much as possible for that reason. Even better if there's no relief. :)
I'm not sure I understood the question, MICKO, but to me, hell is other people (as Sartre said). EP ain't that stressful - it just requires preparation and focus.
The guys that I know to have had health issues never got their problems from the job. Too much graveyard will eventually screw you up, though!

You are right people, not a hard life but the people around you, especially if they are not professionals like you two, as far as stress issues, I wanted to run a theme, a colleague said, through the training you train the man for the stress .

To comment on Local Talents post of what an LA cop told you. I couldnt agree more. Being out on the streets was a break from the political BS I dealt with being inside. Any and all problems I had came from fellow employees and bosses. Its a stress I am glad to be rid of. I am glad I did it but with that said Im glad its over......and graveyard does take its toll on the body...the older you get the harder it is.

Stress inoculation... I've gotten inoculated alright, although another word came to my mind at the time. I guess I'll have to remember to thank a number of former co-workers for that (not)!
Now the guys who work PSDs overseas actually risk life and limb. I still remember a few, dangling from under a bridge in Fallujah. :( But domestically, we often say that if things go wrong you really screwed up (failed at planning and advancing the mission). So the job is actually pretty safe - much safer than your average security officer's (try loss prevention...), IME.
I did see a few guys get completely out of shape (blow up) while posted at estates (the long hours, the boredom, the complacency), so that's a job-related health problem there too! :D
