I have ran across numerous website advertising "Be a Bodyguard today!" How can I know who to trust and who will provide adequate training?

Ask them questions... find out how long they have been in business, check with the better business bureau, check their site for real pictures, not stock photography, or stolen from another site.
If they ask you to pay any type of "registration, or background fee" that is false. Good schools will ask for a deposit, and give you the EXACT dates of training before doing so.
Your deposit should be paid for on a credit card - that way you have recourse if they dont follow through.
There is an outfit down in Tennessee that was shut down by the Secret Service, only to reopen under a different name, be wary...
One of our site sponsors - BTI, link at the right --> they offer a variety of courses and have been checked out to be in good standing. I know a few members from this site have gone through their training.
good luck on your search!
